The Spatially Enabled Government Summit (SEGS) 2009 ran from 24 to 27 August 2009 at the Marque Hotel, Canberra. It focused on "Mapping the Future of Interoperability, Data Collection & Data Management for Operational Excellence within Australian Government".
Professor Brian Fitzgerald gave the keynote address at the summit on 25 August 2009. His address was entitled, 'Implementing a National Strategy?'. Professor Fitzgerald spoke about the legal and policy aspects of the practical implementation of a national information strategy.
